Well, it's June now, the first month of SUMMER! And some Pals will be having even more cause to celebrate this month, with birthdays galore! There are also some anniversaries of Pals who have gained their angel wings.
BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES OF PALS
Alex H, Malignant Brain Tumour: The 8th of June, which was Wednesday, was the 6th anniversary of Alex's death. Also, the 29th of June would have been Alex's 21st birthday. RIP Alex, and we wish her family well.
Amelia-Grace C, Neuroblastoma: Amelia-Grace passed away on the 25th of June last year, aged eight, due to this life-threatening disease. RIP Amelia-Grace, you're with the angels now.
Antonia S, Cystic Fibrosis: On the 20th of June, it is Antonia's 12th birthday! Why not send her a card, letter or email?
Chintzia M, Neuroblastoma: The 6th of June would have been Chintzia's 4th birthday. She passed away on the 23rd of June last year. Rest in peace Chintzia, we all wish your family well.
Daniel M, Neuroblastoma: 14th June will be the 3rd anniversary of Daniel's passing. He passed away one month away from his 6th birthday. Rest in peace, Daniel, we all wish your family well.
Ethan B, Cystic Fibrosis: On the 25th of June, it will be Ethan's 10th birthday! Have a great day Ethan!
Megan R, Syringomelia: 24 June will be the 4th anniversary of Megan's passing. She passed away at the age of 12. RIP Megan, you're with the angels now.
SIBLINGS' BIRTHDAYS
Nathan C: Nathan was 1 year old on the 3rd of June! Congratulations little Nathan! Nathan is Connor C's brother.
Tyanna P: Tyanna's 8th birthday is on the 21st of June! Happy birthday for then Tyanna! Tyanna is Courtenay P's sister, and Tyanna has the same condition as Courtenay-Neurofibromatosis-and global developmental delay.
Rhian B: On the 30th June it will be Rhian's 11th birthday! Congratulations Rhian! Rhian is Jack B's sister.
Joe B: At some point this month it will be Joe's 16th birthday! We don't know the exact date. Joe is Jack Bradley B's brother.
Charlie R: Today (10 June) it is Charlie's 8th birthday! Happy birthday Charlie! Charlie is Jamie R's brother.

Sad News
Sadly, 10-year-old Alicia R passed away on the 17th of May from conditions caused by cystic fibrosis. She was friendly with Daisy, another Pal, and Daisy's mum Stephanie wrote this about Alicia:
"Alicia's courage, determination, strength and will to live was such an inspiration to everyone who knew her - she embraced life and when she was not in hospital she lived life to the full going to brownies, school, holidays with her family, bouncing on the trampoline with her brother. I know Alicia's family would want you to know how much comfort they all got from the support of Post Pals and how it made both Alicia and Nico smile."
Alicia had been on the website for a few months and was a vibrant and happy girl. We all give our condolences to her mother and little brother Nico.
RIP Alicia, you're with the angels now :(

Featured Pal: May
It's just before May so I decided to start up the Featured Pals section again. So sorry for letting it slip :(
THIS MONTH'S FEATURED PAL: ALICE P
Alice is 15 and has been a Pal for 3 years. She has Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system. Her sister, Milly, is also a Pal. (although for some reason unexpressed in Alice's posts she has recently been completely removed from the site). She recently was told there was no more curative treatment on offer for her cancer. Nevertheless, Alice is still very much involved in raising funds for Postpals. She is an amazing Pal and really deserves some post.
She loves Lush bath products, Nintendo DS, and 'all things girly' :) She loves dogs and has a Labrador called Mabel.

Aaron F (Cerebral Palsy): Aaron's 11th birthday is tomorrow, Sunday the 27th! Aaron is a new Pal and so why not welcome him to Postpals with a birthday card or little gift?
Jamie S (Sibling of Abbie): Abbie S (Neuroblastoma) passed away aged 5, almost 5 years ago. Jamie, her older brother, has his 11th birthday today! Happy birthday Jamie! Why not send a card or email?

I now have a laptop! So I am now going to be carrying on with my weekly posts :) I may be a little erratic though because I have exams soon, but I'll do my best.

So sorry for the long absence!
I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in a while- you may remember I had problems with my computer, well 2 weeks after I'd started posting again it died! Permanently! So I am painstakingly typing this out on my brother's itouch so you know I haven't abandoned the site :) As soon as I manage to replace my laptop I will begin posting regularly again.
I am still involved with postpals though- I am doing a project at my school, it is the second project at my school, I am getting all the different classes to write letters to assigned pals! I am getting an unbelievable amount of letters in! If any of you reading this are school age or teachers, you might want to do some kind of event for postpals!
